Chacala to La Cruz

Chacala to La Cruz Solastra anchored in La Cruz We left Chacala around 8 a.m. Friday the 15th. (Oops another Friday departure day). But this particular Friday happened to be one of the best sails of the Season and actually, the best sail EVER, on Solastra!  Anyway, as we left, Peter on Jugete was close by and Indigo Star (a gorgeous Tayana 48’), a boat we first saw and met the owners, Doug and Mary, in Mazatlan, left not long after we did. As we were walking, I received an alert from my bank on my iPhone stating that there may have been some fraudulent activity on my Debit Card and asked for my approval of the last few transactions. The transactions showed attempted withdrawals of up to $800.00 U.S from the pizza place. Well, I immediately called the bank and told the...

Colorful Sculpture outside of my favorite Gallery in Mazatlan Today is February the 6th. As you can tell, my two weeks estimation for being here was a little off. But that’s not unusual to make a plan and to have it morph into something else when you’re cruising. Ribs at Fat Fish for Dinner Zona Dorada Breakfast at Looney Bean Acting a little Looney after breakfast at Looney Bean with Mike Mike Colorful and majestic Iguana Dinghy ride through the Mangroves and seeing the backyards of some very nice homes Rick put up the Hammock for me He beat me to it! Rick and Harley off to go fishing out by the Islands So since we have been here, we have gone to the usual haunts…Fat Fish, Looney Bean, Rico’s, Pedro y Lola’s, La Mona, the ‘Market’,  and a taco stand here and there. But we discovered a new place to eat near Plaza Machado in Old Mazatlan called Sefe’s. They have the best Torta’s in town. The owner ...
