The Countdown Begins...
One month from today we will be heading to San Carlos, Mexico to get our next six months started sailing on Solastra. We are making a few stops along the way. First stop is in Colorado at CSU Veterinary Teaching Hospital to have Harley's 8 week post-op X-Ray done on her leg to make sure all is mending well. After that, we head to Fort Riley, KS to visit Tanner and his family for a couple of nights, spend a night in New Mexico and a night in Arizona (just to break up the drive), THEN...we head to Mexico! Hopefully this season will be more about sailing than working on the boat! We plan to get the boat ready to sail in a couple of weeks at the most. Fingers crossed. Our destination is up in the air for now. We definitely want to make it to Zihautenejo for Sailfest. And we have thoughts of making it to Costa Rica and leaving the boat there at the end of the season. BUT...we would have to fly back to the states, and I'm not keen on having Harley fly in the cargo...
